BUILD THE GUARD BEFORE THE STORM

BUILD THE GUARD BEFORE THE STORM Europe was collapsing. Poland. Denmark. Norway. Belgium. The Netherlands. France. One country after another went down. And sitting right in the middle of that mess was little Switzerland — surrounded, outnumbered, and staring at a war that could come knocking at any moment. So they did something while the mountains were still quiet. They got ready. They moved troops. Dug into the mountains. Built defenses. Prepared for the day they hoped would never come. They built the guard before they needed the guard. Most of us wait until something starts breaking before we get serious. The marriage. The body. The mind. The life. But by then, the storm is already here. This Podcast asks a question worth answering before that happens: IS YOUR GUARD READY?

The Shortcut That Cost Everything | Two Roads, One Choice

They just wanted a shorter route to Las Vegas. A brand-new GPS. A married couple on an ordinary road trip. One wrong turn onto a muddy back road in northern Nevada… and everything changed. Albert and Rita Chretien trusted the shortcut. The van got stuck. No cell service. No help. Rita waited 48 days before hunters found her alive. Albert never made it home. The road that looked shorter took more than they ever planned to give. We live in a world obsessed with shortcuts. We want the destination without the miles. The prize without the sacrifice. The change without the discipline. There are only two roads — and from the minute your feet hit the ground this morning, you’ve been walking one of them. So how do you know which one you’re really on? Your Life decsions tell the tale. Why we love shortcuts… and why they keep costing us The difference between a “can” person and a “can’t” person How to stop, admit “this ain’t right,” and make a real U-turn

REAL CHANGE GROWS FROM THE INSIDE OUT

We spend a lot of time trying to change ourselves from the outside in. Try harder. Be stronger. Do better. Hold it together. In this podcast Kat walks through the fruit of the Spirit — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control — and shows what can begin to grow in our lives when we stay connected to God and allow Him to work from the inside out. Through powerful Bible stories and practical everyday examples, we’ll look at what Spirit-produced change really looks like when life is difficult, patience is tested, peace is challenged, and doing the right thing takes strength. Real fruit isn’t taped onto the branches. It grows from a living source. Galatians 5:22–23 John 15:5 Join Kat for this encouraging message from Outta the Fire. Help Us Carry This Message Further If Outta the Fire has encouraged you, challenged you, or drawn you closer to God, will you stand with us?

THE MATH WAS RIGHT...TILL IT WASN'T

A $125 million spacecraft traveled more than 400 million miles toward Mars — only to disappear because the numbers didn’t mean what everyone thought they meant. Life can feel that way too. You count what you have, study the odds, make your best plans — and still come up short. This message is about facing reality without letting today’s numbers decide tomorrow’s outcome. Because sometimes, when the math has taken you as far as it can go… looking up is the only answer.

If You Had a Time Machine, How Far Would You Really Go?

If someone handed you the keys to a time machine, how far back would you go? Not last week. Not last year — all the way back. Past the cities. Past the oceans. Past the stars. Keep going until there's nothing left at all. Then step out. Now build something. You can't. Nobody can. Every carpenter needs the wood. Every builder needs something already in his hands. Take the materials off the shelf and human ability slams into a wall it can't climb — because every one of us has to start with something that's already there. Then life backs you into a corner. You count everything you've got left — and the answer comes back empty. Too old. Too late. No way forward. Out of moves. What happens when what's left simply isn't enough? In this Podcast we walk through three people who hit that exact wall.

WHERE'D THE WHOLE DAY GO?

A man wakes up determined to fix one loose fence board — and by sunset he's touched everything he owns and finished nothing. This message follows that everyday drift straight into Philippians 3:13-14, where Paul, writing from a prison cell, says "this one thing I do... I press toward the mark." Busy is not pressing. You can move from daylight to dark and never take one step toward the high calling of God. Through the story of a losing kids' basketball team that learned to press its way to a championship, this message shows that pressure finds out who practiced — and that resistance on the road isn't a sign you took a wrong turn, it's often proof you finally stepped onto the road that matters. Missing the mark is not the same as quitting the race. Stir up the gift. Fix your eyes on the savior. And don't let one more sunset find the one thing that mattered still undone.

BLIND EYES AT THE BORDER

In this episode of Outta the Fire, JT tells the true story of a young Dutchman who drove a battered Volkswagen Beetle across a guarded Iron Curtain checkpoint — risking a prison cell if the wrong eyes found cargo that was not money, not valuables, not secrets, but Bibles for people who had been told they were not allowed to have the Word. Anchored in 2 Timothy 2:9 — “the word of God is not bound” — the message walks through Paul in chains, Peter and John before the council, and the ordinary excuses we use to stay quiet about Christ today. It is a call to stop waiting for “later” and start carrying the Word to the people God has already put in front of you — while there is still daylight.

The Turn Around | Outta the Fire

If you’ve been feeling stuck on the wrong road, today is the day to turn and live. Have you ever caught yourself saying or doing something and thought, “That’s not who I am”? In this honest and encouraging message, Kat shares how repentance is not about shame or condemnation — it’s about turning from what’s weighing you down and stepping into the freedom God offers. We explore: • What repentance really means (it’s more than just feeling sorry) • Why it’s the doorway to salvation — and the daily rhythm of walking with God • Everyday areas where we all need to turn (our words, arguments, gossip, and more) • Powerful Bible stories of real people who turned and were restored: David, Peter, Zacchaeus, and the woman caught in adultery This episode is filled with hope, practical steps, and the reminder that God’s kindness leads us to repentance. Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time or have been walking with Christ for years, this message will meet you right where you are.

WHEN THE HEART GOES NUMB

Every warning starts as mercy. A light on the dash. A rumble under your feet. A voice deep inside saying something isn't right. But ignore a warning long enough, and it can start to feel normal. This message follows two warnings trying to save what was underneath—one on the side of a mountain, one glowing on a dashboard. Easy to excuse. Easier to put off. And both kept speaking while life carried on. The same thing can happen to a soul. A person can still show up, smile, sing, and look alive on the outside while something inside is slowly going numb. This is for anyone who has learned how to drive with the light on and call it normal. The warning is still mercy. And if you can still feel it—don't run from it.

He's Already in the Room | The Intercessor

Seventeen years ago, I experienced something that I have never forgotten. Early one morning, while my house was completely quiet, I heard a man's voice speaking nearby. I searched the house and found no one there. That experience led me to a deeper understanding of a powerful biblical truth: Jesus is actively interceding for us. In this episode of Outta the Fire, we explore what the Bible teaches about Jesus as our Intercessor, Advocate, and Mediator. We'll look at Romans 8, Hebrews 7, John 17, and other Scriptures that reveal what Jesus is doing on behalf of believers right now. If you've ever felt alone, forgotten, overwhelmed, or unsure how to pray, this message is for you. You'll discover: • What it means that Jesus intercedes for us • Why Jesus is called our Advocate • How Jesus serves as our Mediator before the Father • The powerful "I AM" statements of Jesus • Why your failures do not have the final word • How God's grace reaches us even in our weakest moments No matter what you're facing today, you are not alone. Jesus is still praying

When One Man Refused to Look Away

In this episode of Outta the Fire, JT shares the powerful true story of David Wilkerson, a country preacher from Pennsylvania whose comfortable life was interrupted by a burden for people he had never met. What began with a newspaper story became a calling that carried him into the streets of New York, where lives that seemed unreachable were forever changed. This message is a wake-up call for every believer who has grown quiet, comfortable, or too busy surviving to notice the people right in front of them. Through the life of David Wilkerson, the endurance of Paul, and the warning of the watchman, we are reminded that the good news was never meant to stop with us.

Do You Have the Fire?

Elijah’s journey didn’t end in silence. In one of the most powerful moments in Scripture, a prophet is taken into heaven in a chariot of fire… and a young man standing nearby realizes the calling has now fallen on him. This message explores the story of Elijah and Elisha, the weight of spiritual purpose, and the question every generation must answer: Who will carry the fire now? Through dramatic storytelling, biblical truth, and real-life application, this sermon challenges us to stop standing at a distance from God’s calling and step fully into the purpose He has prepared for our lives. The fire may have fallen long ago… but the calling is still alive today.

What's the One Thing You Can't Get More Of?

Every person is given a limited number of days, yet most of us live as though the count will never end. In this podcast, Time itself becomes the narrator, watching humanity from creation to the present day. Through the lives of kings, ordinary people, and ancient wisdom, one truth becomes impossible to ignore: every day spent is a day that can never be recovered. The count is real. The question is how we will spend what remains. Welcome to Outta the Fire.

What Was Inside That Building?

This message explores the story of William Seymour, and the power he chased. That power filled a small building, and lives were changed forever. If you’ve ever felt spiritually empty, exhausted, or searching for something more, this message is for you. Some moments fade. Some change people forever.

These Things We Do That Others Might Live | - The Dude 44 Rescue

“What happens when life pushes you to your limit? When pressure rises… when strength runs out… when everything in you wants to quit — what comes out? Two pilots. Two shoot-downs. Decades apart. Same result — they survived. Not because everything went their way, but because something had already been built into them long before the crisis hit. In this episode of Outta the Fire, we step into real military survival stories — including the F-15E Dude 44 rescue and Captain Scott O’Grady’s six days behind enemy lines —

They didn't have to.... but they did: Will You?

What does it really mean to go ALL IN? In life, most people live somewhere in the middle—close enough to feel safe, but never fully committed. Almost convinced. Almost surrendered. Almost changed. But history shows us something powerful: the moments that define everything are the ones where people stop holding back. In this message, JT walks through a gripping picture of sacrifice, surrender, and the turning point that changed eternity. From a moment when ordinary people made an extraordinary decision… to the cross… to the empty tomb—this is the story of what happens when someone holds nothing back. Because Jesus didn’t go halfway. He didn’t stay comfortable. He went ALL IN.

The Moment Everything Changes | Are You Ready?

What if the moment everyone talks about… isn’t meant to scare you—but to prepare you? This message isn’t about fear. It’s about hope, readiness, and the promise of God. In a world full of uncertainty, the Bible reminds us that we are not left in the dark. We are called to live with faith, confidence, and peace—knowing that God has already made a way. This is a message about being ready… not afraid. About living with purpose… not panic. About trusting God…

The Moment I Came to My Senses

What if the thing you’ve been chasing… What if the freedom you’ve been running toward… was never freedom at all? It looked right. It felt right. It even worked… for a while. But not everything that feels like freedom leads to life. In this message, we walk through a powerful story that mirrors something many people experience—moving fast, ignoring the signs, and realizing too late that the path wasn’t leading where we thought it would. From a vivid real-life illustration to the timeless story in Luke 15

Why Me, What Now? When Life Forces the Question.

Every human life eventually asks the same question: Why am I here? In this powerful message, JT explores the moments when life stops making sense and the deeper question rises to the surface. From the survival story of Aron Ralston trapped in a canyon, to the cries of Job, David, and ultimately Jesus Christ on the cross, the Bible shows that the question “why” is not weakness — it is the doorway to purpose.

Almost Persuaded: The Most Dangerous Word in Eternity:

In life there are moments when the difference between success and loss is measured in inches, seconds, or a single decision. A runner misses qualification by two seconds. A student finishes one credit short. A job applicant comes in second place. Being close can feel almost the same as crossing the line—until the results are final. In this powerful message, JT explores the sobering reality of the word “almost.” From parade grounds and finish lines to boardrooms and rehearsal studios, the pattern is the same: standing near the line is not the same as crossing it.

The Hidden Weakness That Brings Giants Down:

What looks strong on the outside isn’t always strong underneath. In this message, JT shares a powerful illustration of a towering tree that seemed unstoppable—until one storm revealed the truth. It didn’t fall because it lacked strength… it fell because it lacked depth. Jesus teaches the same principle: two lives can look identical, but only the one built on a solid foundation will stand when pressure comes

What It Really Means to Trust God | A Faith Walk

Do you actually trust God… or do you just say you do? In this message, we break down what real faith looks like and how to walk by faith in everyday life. In this episode of Outta the Fire, we dive into what it truly means to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). Many believers talk about faith—but struggle to live it out when life gets difficult. Through powerful biblical examples, real-life testimony, and practical truth, this message will challenge and encourage you to grow in your faith walk with God.

New Year, New You | Real Change That Lasts

JT kicks off this Outta the Fire message with a mouthwatering choice: a bowl of fresh, pit-filled raw cherries or a flaky, sugar-laden cherry pie. This analogy sets the stage for a thoughtful reflection on our tendency to choose what feels easiest in the moment over what truly sustains us long-term—especially as New Year’s approaches. He traces the tradition of resolutions back to ancient Babylon’s Akitu festival, showing how humanity has wrestled with the same cycle of promises and setbacks for thousands of years. Drawing from Scripture, including Isaiah 43:18–19 and Matthew 6:33, JT invites viewers to place God at the center as the source of genuine renewal, emphasizing the power of daily mercies. If you’ve ever promised yourself, “This year will be different,” this message is for you. It points to a stronger foundation for lasting, real-life change.
